I currently teach 1st grade but have taught all grades K-3 in the past!  My passion is teaching and working with animals, so I will be putting lots of animal flair into my blog.

Speaking of animals, we just got a hamster in our classroom!  The kids voted on the name Fluffy.  In case you are interested in a FREE class pet- like a hamster, gerbil, guinea pig, rabbit, or fish, I will give you a link to "Pets in the Classroom."  I filled out the 3 minute application on line and then received my coupons for a free hamster, cage, food, and toys! All you need is a "PetSmart" or "Pet Super Market" near by!  Just click on Fluffy's picture below to go to the website! :)

My name is Eva Robinson and I teach 1st grade in Lexington, KY.  I have been teaching forever it feels (16 years to be exact) and I absolutely love learning from and helping these little people!  My passion is working with children and animals.  I have two cats of my own and love horses and dogs as well!  Therefore, I love to teach using animals and animal ideas as much as possible!! The name of my BLOG----- Primary PAWS!!!

I have 2 kiddos of my own who are now teenagers.  Yikes!  My son, Drew is a sophomore and is 16 years old and my daughter, Layne is a freshman and is 14.  I miss when they were little. :(

I am going to start by posting pics from my classroom and go from there!

I decided to get an aquarium this year to help with our habitats and life cycles! 
                                                                        

                         FREE PET FOR YOUR OWN CLASSROOM!!

We will be getting a pet hamster this week!  If you would like a pet in your classroom for free, here is an awesome idea!  Several large pet stores have a grants called "Pets in the Classroom."  All you have to do is fill out an entry form (it literally took 3 minutes) and you will be sent coupons for a cage or tank, food, accessories, etc for a hamster, guinea pig, rabbit, gerbil, or fish in your own classroom!!  My class voted on a hamster and I'll be going to get all of the goodies and our hamster today after school!  We are SOOOOO excited!  Here is the link to get your own free coupons in the mail for a class pet!!   Pets in the Classroom   Our coupons came in the mail yesterday.
